Estimator

Location: Newcastle under Lyme
Salary: £28k + bonus + self-contributory pension

This company is a major supplier of building boards and facade solutions. They have their offices based in Newcastle under Lyme. Due to company growth they now have an excellent opportunity for an Estimator to join their team. Reporting into the Project Manager, previous experience as an Estimator is essential with experience of managing elements of construction projects preferred.

The Role

Your key responsibilities will be estimating project costs for the Business Development Manager, assessing material and equipment requirements with material "take offs" from drawings supplied by their customers. You will be responsible for carrying out panel optimisations and preparing full quotations for the facade products. You will also support the Project Manager in producing production documents.

The Candidate

The successful candidate will be able to plan and organise work efficiently to meet project deadlines. You will be well organised with good communication skills, both verbal and written. With a keen eye for detail you will be able to use your excellent maths skills to make accurate calculations. You will be required to carry out site visits, so a full driving licence is essential.

The ideal candidate will have an advanced knowledge of Excel and should hold an HNC/HND or degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management. Knowledge and experience of the façade industry would be an advantage.
