Head of School - Engineering & Construction
37 hours per week/52 weeks per year
£50,000 per annum
Following a recent restructure, Tresham College is looking for a dynamic, forward thinking Head of School for Engineering & Construction.
Overview of the Post:
The Head of School is a key role at the College which has a significant entrepreneurial and strategic focus in driving the diversification and growth of the School.
The successful candidate will be expected to operate their School as a distinct business unit and be responsible for delivering a wide range of key objectives including all aspects of curriculum, staff, learner and financial performance.
The Head of School will actively pursue strategies for growth in their School's curriculum provision and income streams and will be responsible and accountable for developing and implementing a rigorous business plan that increases the financial contribution of the School.
Responsible for the School's quality of Teaching, Learning and Assessment (TLA), the Head of School will ensure that innovative and evidence-based methods transform the School's TLA performance whilst meeting the requirements of the Ofsted Common Inspection Framework.
The Head of School will provide, and be accountable for, the provision of effective and proactive organisation and management of staff to ensure that learners studying in their School have a high quality learning experience ensuring that staff performance, resources and skills are appropriately matched to meet the needs of the School's strategic plan.
The successful candidate will have successful experience of curriculum management within the Further Education sector and a demonstrable knowledge of quality improvement strategies, including accurate use of data analysis, to drive improvement of wider outcomes for learners for example value added, distance travelled and job outcomes.
To be considered, candidates will have a degree in one of the curriculum strands and a good, all round, level of education to include Maths and English to GCSE (Grade A - C) or equivalent level (level 2). An Enhanced DBS check will be required and you will be required to declare any convictions, cautions, reprimands or final warnings which would not be filtered in line with current guidance.
