Care Assistant - Finchley

We currently have an opportunity for a Care Assistant to join our team at Clovelly House Residential Care Home in Finchley


Clovelly House provides expert care and support for people who are frail or elderly.


The service offers both residential and respite care and we provide personalised care based on people's choices, needs and wishes.

There is one full time position available and 2 part time positions.


Responsibilities:

• Build good relationships with the people we support and their families as well as other staff members and management.
• Provide daily support to the residents to help maintain and improve, where possible, independence and mobility.
• Assist residents to carry out their activities of daily living e.g., dressing, eating and bathing toileting.
• Set the dining room, serve and clear meals to a high standard
• Provide in-between nourishment as instructed, including the service of tea/coffee etc. to visitors
• Assist residents to choose from the daily menu and report any comments on food and requests for particular dishes.
• Assist with bed making and changing of linen
• To keep all rooms clean and tidy at all times ensuring a safe environment

The Individual:

• NVQ level 2 or equivalent
• Minimum of 12 Months experience working in a Residential Care Home,preferably caring for those with memory problems
• Passion for delivering high quality care
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Fully support you with any professional training
