We a privately owned recruitment firm supplying technology staff to Investment Banking and Broadcast / Media forms worldwide. We have been in business for ten years, have almost forty people in our teams, and turnover in excess of £18 million per year. The Accounts / Finance Assistant Opportunity:
We want you to join our lively, town centre office. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be part of the team responsible for maintaining an efficient and accurate accounting function, to support our successful, growing business.
Your role will include providing a full range of accounting duties including:
> Processing of all contractors invoices, sales invoices, purchase expenses and sales commission
> Verifying calculations and input codes into SAGE accounting system in accurate manner
> Monitor and review of outstanding sales invoices with prompt resolution of queries
> To ensure all filing is performed accurately and timely
> Answering contractors / suppliers phone calls and resolving queries
> Reconciliation of supplier statements
> Analysis and processing of expenses and credit card statements
> Assisting in the preparation of various monthly reconciliations and management information
> Other ad hoc tasks
Candidate profile:
As a recruitment business we have a buzzy, hard-working yet relaxed atmosphere. You must be confident and assured with the ability to instil confidence in your colleagues through timely and clear communication. You will have the ability to work autonomously, whilst being a dependable and flexible team player. You must be great with numbers and understand the importance of numerical discipline. You may be studying towards your AAT already and you will be keen to learn and develop. Your profile will also include some or all of the following:
> Previous experience of working within a Finance department
> Strong computer skills and good knowledge of SAGE and Excel
> Expert at multi tasking, good organisation, prioritising and administrative skills
> Excellent attention to detail
> Ability to adapt to a changing business environment
> Good interpersonal skills with a friendly and professional manner and adaptable to a sales environment
