Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum, depending on experience

Due to the requirements of the Sunrise programme (our ERP implementation of SAP) and future business needs an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Test Manager to join the IT Team based in Newcastle. The main focus of the role will be to define the testing strategy and framework for the core ERP, best of breed and in-house developed solutions ensuring that it meets all the quality acceptance criteria before going live. There will be a key requirement to engage with wider Greggs' business roles and external partners to ensure adequate end to end involvement of outside of the IT team in delivering appropriate levels of testing support.

Test Manager Key Responsibilities:

• Defining the testing framework and strategy
• Defining and agreeing resource needs to support the defined testing framework
• Providing support to the Sunrise programme to ensure that the project adheres to the established governance and quality standards and that deliverables meet defined programme quality criteria
• Defining and agreeing the quality standards that will apply to all testing
• Defining standard processes and procedures for key components of the test strategy
• Defining the strategy for tracking progress during testing including the key performance indicators and reporting regime
• Defining the requirements to define, execute and assure validation, verification and testing across projects and releases
• Agreeing what tools will be acquired and utilised throughout to aid the end to end testing strategy

Test Manager Key Requirements:

Essential:

• Previous experience in a similar role supporting an ERP implementation
• Able to work towards tight deadlines and to deliver multiple objectives simultaneously
• Excellent communication skills and ability to influence people at all levels of the business
• Self-starter with strong planning and organisation skills
• Good analytical skills
• Experience of testing tools
• A proven track record of test management across multiple test phases and the co-ordination of multiple resources, including offshore and business users

Test Manager Desirable:

• Able to analyse multiple sources of information and distil the key points
• Able to manage/chair a meeting
• Previous experience defining Programme Test Strategy or Approach
• Advanced or Expert Test management qualification or certification, e.g. ISTQB Test Management qualification, BCS Professional Certification
• Experience of a combination of SAP and HP testing tools along with SAP SOLMAN
