English Teacher

The role begins in January 2015 and whilst temporary, it has the possibility of becoming permanent. The school has approximately 1590 pupils of mixed gender, aged 11-19 on roll, of which, 220 are in the sixth form.

The school received a Grade 2 'Good' rating in its 2013 Ofsted inspection across all areas. The report shows that pupils make good progress and behave very sensibly, both in and out of the classroom. It also states that the school is well led and managed by a very effective team of senior leaders, committed to students' success. Students benefit from carefully considered and highly effective pastoral and academic care. Overall the direction provided for the school is clear and promoted strongly by the headteacher and governors.

The extensive sports facilities within the school, such as; a fitness suite, sports hall and a number of dance studios, allows the school to offer a wide range of extra curricular activities.

Additionally, it has excellent transport links with four train stations within 2 miles of the school and London Heathrow airport, with many international connections, is just over 12 miles from the school.
