As one of the largest and most successful further education colleges in Europe, our client provides education and training to a wide range of learners and clients across the City of Manchester and beyond. The mission of the college is to deliver a high quality, inclusive and comprehensive curriculum, in an accessible and flexible way.

Based at many sites across the city: from Moston and Harpurhey in the North to Wythenshawe and West Didsbury in the South, as well as several locations in the city centre. Each site has its own specialist, cutting edge facilities and resources within a friendly and supportive atmosphere.

They currently have an opportunity available for a Tutor to join them to deliver Physics within the Department of Academic Studies.

Within the role you will undertake tutorials, either on a one on one basis or as a group and assist with recruitment by interviewing, enrolling and inducting students. You would be expected to carry out the necessary administration related to the teaching programme, undertaking duties associated with the design and development of teaching materials and learning resources while also participating in the extracurricular activities of the department.

Candidates for this role should hold an academically relevant degree (or equivalent) coupled with a teaching qualification (DTTLS / Cert Ed / PGCE) or have a willingness to work towards this). You must have the ability to teach Physics related curriculum up to level 3 and First-hand knowledge of Access to HE Diploma, A Level and BTEC courses would be an advantage.

With a creative approach to teaching and curriculum planning, you must have the ability to establish appropriate relationships with mature students and also demonstrate good organisational and administrative skills.

You will be expected to work flexibly in line with the requirements of the post.
