ID Medical is currently seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist for immediate placement in Durham. We have multple positions available and can offer full time hours.
Position: Locum/Temporary/Contract
Job title: Band 6 Occupational Therapist
Location: Durham
Salary: 23 - 29 PH (Negotiable)
Start Date: ASAP
A dynamic individual is needed to provide a high standard of elderly care to patients. you will have the opportunity to work autonomously, as well as within a multi-disciplinary team. The role requires you to be highly skilled with a minimum of 1 year experience as a Band 6 Occupational Therapist you will have the ability to motivate and develop others is essential.
Core duties would include:
* To provide a comprehensive and co-ordinated range of specialist occupational therapy (OT), therapeutic and preventative services, working as part of the multi-disciplinary/multi-agency team.
* This will be primarily be within the Clinical assessment unit however duties will extend across the entire hospital.
* Applying specialist knowledge and skills across the total range of impairments, procedures and practices gained through practical experience, underpinned by theoretical knowledge.
* To assess and implement specialist treatment programmes as an autonomous practitioner, maintaining associated clinical records.
* To participate in the day-to-day management of the specialist service provision, supporting new graduate and less experienced therapists on a daily basis.
* To provide formal supervision to nominated staff members and students.
* To cover weekend and early evening duties as required.

* Minimum 2 Years' NHS experience
* Valid HPC / GPHC registration
* Current CRB/DBS
* Qualified in Occupational Therapy
