Repro Mac Operator

Ormerods Label printers pre-press department require an experienced mac operator.

Candidates need to have experience creating layouts, checking artwork files and making plates both litho and flexo. Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator is required, ArtPro experience would be an advantage.

Responsibilities:

• Make artwork files print ready, ensure they adhere to print specification and pre-production mark ups as well as being involved in the full repro life cycle.
• Problem solving and learning new methods of working.
• Contributing to meetings at pre design and pre-production stages.
• Communicating with design and technical teams managing the collaborative sign off process.
• Understanding the limitations of different print processes.
• Image re-touching
• Producing Artwork, whilst showing excellent attention to detail.
• Preventative maintenance of pre-press equipment.
