The Role:

• Manage incoming support requests via the helpdesk system, telephone and e-mail and deal with such requests in a timely manner to completion.
• To provide consistent and prompt IT support and guidance to a high standard for all internal and remote users within the business, keeping them informed of progress in the event of issues not being resolved immediately.
• To provide basic server support and monitoring on Windows Server 2008, 2012.
• To manager basic Active Directory tasks including user accounts, groups and computers.
• Install, assemble and configure computers, monitors, network infrastructure and peripherals such as printers, scanners and related hardware.
• Troubleshoots problems with computer systems, including troubleshooting hardware and software, e-mail, network and peripheral equipment problems; makes repairs and corrections where required to all internal staff; including remote staff.
• Assists in instructing staff in the use of standard business and administrative software, including word processing, spreadsheets.
• To maintain an asset register of all computerised fixed assets & software.

What the company is looking for in the successful candidate:

• Effective knowledge of Microsoft Products & Applications. I.e. Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft Office.
• Possess technical knowledge: which should include Windows Win7, Win8, Win 8.1, Antivirus Technologies, Backup Technologies, VMware, Exchange 2010, Server 2008 & 2012 and Active Directory.
• Experience of installing, configuring and upgrading operating systems and software.
• Experience of installing, configuring and assembling computers, monitors and peripherals such as printers and related hardware.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve hardware and software problems.
• Possession of experience with SQL and report writing is desirable.
