They now have an exciting opportunity for a Lecturer in Computing to join them where you will deliver high quality teaching and learning to students of all ages and abilities, through innovative methods. This role is part time – 17.5 hours per week, and is a fixed term contract until 31st December 2015.

Within the role, you will plan, prepare and update all relevant teaching documentation including schemes of work and lesson plans, whilst attending meetings and communicating within the School as and when required. Assessing, monitoring and recording feedback to students in order to facilitate their best achievement, you will work to exam board deadlines as well as assisting in the marketing, recruitment and selection and enrolments of students as well as their subsequent retention.

The suitable candidate will have a relevant degree or professional equivalent coupled with Cert Ed/PGCE (or a willingness to work towards this). With previous experience of teaching Computing and working within Higher Education, you will have industry knowledge and experience and be enthusiastic and positive.

Having experience of basic SQL is essential, as is working knowledge of Java, Objective C, C, Visual C#, XNA, and server-side scripting/javascript. With experience of interactive web content design including PHP, HTML5, .Net and AJAX, you will have previously worked on the process of data analysis and SEO and be familiar with mobile application development – iOS, Android and HCI. Experience of the e-commerce field, with particular reference to payment systems, hosting and security is key, as is the ability to liaise with other tutors and work as a team member.
