Our client, provides a range of social care, special education, community support and consultancy services in the North West of England. They are one of the North West’s largest providers of residential homes for children from short-term emergency care to long-term placements. Their fostering service provides family placements in the North West and neighbouring regions.

They provide some of the leading specialist education services in the North West region, operating a range of special schools, a further education college and centres supporting those who cannot attend mainstream schools. In addition, they offer a wide range of training consultancy and support services for parents and carers.

An exciting opportunity has arisen, for a Business Development / Fundraising Intern to join them on a 9 month contract.

Within the role, you will contribute to growth in the Trust Services through providing support to the Business Development Team.

Acting as Coordinator, you will research tender information, market intelligence, opportunity development and knowledge management supporting service whilst contributing to the fundraising function of the organisation, specifically in relation to corporate and trust fundraising. You will provide project support for tenders and grant applications, implementation and roll out of successful bids and undertake growth opportunity assessment, business case evaluation, pipeline reporting and project planning.

As Business Development / Fundraising Intern, you will also support the fundraising team’s corporate supporter acquisition activity through research and identification of new prospects, working to a clear brief. You’ll support them to grow income from charitable trusts and non-statutory grant makers, through research, identification of relevant funders and support in writing and submitting applications.

Educated to degree level, the successful candidate will be a strong communicator who is able to express ideas with clarity and speed, verbally and in writing to a range of audiences. With rigorous attention to detail and quality improvement of tenders / proposals, you will have experience of delivering presentations and a strong command of English and Maths.
