Web Applications Developer - ASP.NET, C#

My client is looking to expand its Web Applications Team. The Company is seeking a skilled developer with solid experience in ASP.NET / C# development.

Role overview

The role requires full lifecycle development from conceptual stages through to implementation and ongoing project updates. You will work closely with a talented team of web, PC and embedded developers, database designers and graphic designers, reporting to the Department Manager and senior management team.

Projects include developing client facing web-based software front ends for the energy and building management system as well as developing bespoke dashboard and software solutions to meet client requirements. Clients include FTSE 100 companies, Blue-chip companies and Government agencies/Local Authorities.

A key part of the role is staying up to date with new technology and self-development using forums, technology feeds and internal team discussions. You must be self-motivated and eager to design and develop advanced cutting edge solutions. You must have the ability to discuss technical ideas with your team and comfortably propose new approaches and technologies.

The company is committed to keeping up-to-date with latest technologies and developer tools. Including Windows 8 based development systems, Visual Studio 2013, SQL Server 2012/2014, .NET 4/4.5 and IIS8.5. In return you must endeavour to advance your skills as a developer and be keen to try new technologies.

All projects are client facing, you will be working with businesses of all sizes from end-user SMEs through to blue-chip multi-national companies; commercial acumen, a professional approach and an ability to understand user applications of the web projects is vital to your success within the team.

Required Qualifications/Experience

Proficient in developing reliable, scalable web applications with 3+ years relevant experience with Microsoft technologies, including ASP.NET, C#, SQL Server and Visual Studio. Competent in developing client code targeting all modern browsers including Firefox, IE, Chrome and Safari using HTML, CSS, JavaScript and AJAX.
