Student Administration Assistant

40 hours per week

Salary £16,901.00 - £17,924.00 per annum plus benefits

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our Registry Services function.

Working in a core area of College operations you will support and deliver processes that provide students with a first class and seamless experience of the College.

You will deal with all aspects of the student journey from initial enquiry, arrangement of student interviews, student offers, enrolments and student success through exam registrations and awards together with the handling of student bursaries. In addition you will be responsible for entering key student data onto our core systems.

You will have a minimum of a grade C in GCSE Maths and English Language (or equivalent) and ideally a further level 3 qualification in Business Administration or Customer Service.

You will be highly organised with experience of working in roles requiring regular customer contact and providing a first class customer experience.

With a flexible approach to your work you will be a competent user of IT systems with a strong team ethic.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • To effectively and professionally handle all full and part-time Further and Higher Education course and general student enquiries in accordance with Registry procedures and in accordance with Service Standards.

  • To dispatch accurate and full information to students in line with the Registry Service Standards.

  • To process all course applications, transfers and withdrawals entering details onto the MIS system and the tracking of student admissions to the point of registration.

  • To ensure all student documentation has been completed and signed in accordance with College regulations and awarding body requirements.

  • To maintain an up to date knowledge of the courses offered by the College.

  • To ensure that all examination entry forms are collected and processed to meet both internal and external deadlines.

  • To update the MIS system when results are received.
