This is an excellent opportunity for a Reactive Maintenance Engineer to join the team of the world’s leading security solutions group. This is a full time role covering the following regions; Derby, Ipswich, Leicester, Norwich, Nottingham, Stoke on Trent, Peterborough area.

Within COMPASS they provide support and housing for the Home Office and ensure care for all their Service Users. This involves maintaining those properties and delivering a responsive service to any issues.
As a Reactive Maintenance Engineer you will:
• Deliver the day-to-day maintenance of Service User accommodation in line with legislative and contractual standards across the regions
• Work flexibly to provide all support for immediate, emergency and urgent defects
• Ensure all tasked works completed / mitigated / referred onwards and reported
• Provide support and cover in cluster areas for leave and any surges
• Support with visits and inspections if required by R+M Manager or Maintenance Supervisors
• Provide initial first assessment visit on emergency defects
• Compile reports on why LL issues to be sent to Walsall and recommendations on next actions
• Recommend any specialist / 3rd Party requirements to Reactive Maintenance Supervisor
• Be part of an on-call roster to cover weekends and Out of Hours in rotation with the team
• Deal effectively and safely with the rectification of breakdowns, defects and damage, ensuring timely responses are made and properties are safely and securely maintained.
• Monitor and complete documentation accurately for all work carried out and update all Compass systems promptly to ensure defects are closed in a timely manner
• Adhering to safe systems of work procedures and practices and using appropriate safety devices, equipment and clothing provided by G4S
• Reporting to the appropriate person all unsafe conditions, damage, near misses - whether or not there are any personal injuries, in order that remedial action can be taken
• Update central management information system daily
The ideal Reactive Maintenance Engineer will hold the following skills and experiences:
• Experience in a general maintenance role covering range of skills
• Full clean driving licence
• Good customer care skills
• Qualifications in mechanical / electrical building services / plant installation and maintenance
• Understanding of local housing and standards
