Electrical Maintenance Engineer
Wiltshire

Salary £22,778 - £32,017 per annum dependent on experience + pension + quarterly performance related bonus + 25 days annual leave + company van

REQUIREMENTS
• Experience in industrial asset maintenance and be qualified to 17th Edition Electrical Installations as a minimum.
• Completed a recognised electrical craft/technician apprenticeship.
• Qualification to IEE 17th Edition Inspection and Testing and an ONC/BTEC or equivalent in electrical engineering would be advantageous.
• Experience in the water industry or a similar process critical environment would also be advantageous.

THE ROLE
As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer you will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on water and waste water treatment assets, pumping stations and fire booster systems. Your responsibilities will include:
• Completing planned and reactive electrical tasks within timescale, quality and cost parameters.
• Supervising the activities of our subcontractors on site, ensuring that the work they deliver is to our very high standards, and carried out safely.
• Contributing views on how our maintenance strategy should evolve to deliver best practice at the most economic cost.

ABOUT YOU
Though part of a team, you will often be working alone, so you must be able to manage and prioritise your own workload. Health and Safety is an absolute priority for KWS Defence, so you need to be meticulous in your following of safe systems of work and be able to carry out risk assessments at the point of work. You will represent KWS Defence when meeting our customers so you will have good communication and interpersonal skills. We also operate a sophisticated work and asset management IT system, therefore you need to be fully IT-literate.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
• You will be required to attend sites out of normal business hours in the event of plant failure, so involvement in a standby rota will be required.
• A full valid EU driving licence is required for the role as you will need to travel between sites, for which a company van is provided.
• As the role is working on MoD sites you will be required to go through security clearance as a condition of employment.

KWS Defence operates a 25 year Public Private Partnership (PPP) contract with the Ministry of Defence (MOD) to provide full water utility services to the MoD estate. This high profile project (one of the Treasury's top ten PPP initiatives) encompasses Wales and much of the South and South West of England.
