With the opportunity to live in one of the most desirable locations in the UK, this position will also ensure that you are playing a key role in the development of safety critical technology to the global defence industry.

The Role
Working within the Engineering Team, taking products from concept to production, the Configuration Engineer will oversee the Configuration Process for the Design of Batteries and Chargers. 

Specifically, he/she will:

•    Support projects by ensuring that the Design process is adhered to 
•    Ensure that the Change Process is implemented successfully, accurately and in a timely manner.
•    Update Documentation in accordance with the Change Note Procedure 
•    Ensure that the Design Process is adhered to 

The Candidate
The successful candidate will have a degree level qualification in a relevant subject (Mechanical Engineering) with commercial Mechanical Design experience, preferably using SolidWorks. He/she should have an excellent understanding of Product Design Procedures under ISO 9001 and experience of generating the necessary documentation to support design activities.
