Production Team Manager GBP30,000 pa + Bonus + Benefits The Company A successful and profitable business, this organisation is a leading food manufacturer supplying a prestigious list of major retailers and foodservice customers. They are currently seeking to appoint a Two Production Team Manager to work a Shift pattern of 6-2, 2-10 (rotating shift) Monday to Friday (37.5 hours per week). The Role The appointed jobholder will manage of 15-20 staff including two Line Leaders/Charge-hands and a team of Production Operatives. Reporting to the Site Manager, the Production Team Manager will take on a diverse range of responsibilities and ownership for their production area, and this will include the training and development of their team, driving performance and results and achieving KPI's such as Waste, Quality, Yield, Health & Safety, and Adherence to Labour budget. The Production Team Manager will ensure sufficient labour and resources are available to meet the production plan, and implement training plans to ensure the workforce is cross-functional and multi-skilled. They will nurture and motivate staff to better performance, manage disciplinary matters, appraise and review the performance of staff, and manage absences (including work procedures) and holiday authorisation. The jobholder will oversee shift changeover and co-ordinate improvement projects, aimed at assuring product quality and reducing waste. The Person We are looking for a 'leader' and 'driver', someone who can engage and motivate their production team. Candidates 'must have' at least 2 years Food Manufacturing Production Management / Supervisory experience as they will be required to manage and develop a sizable team. An ability to communicate and influence their team, peers and senior management is also required, as is a demonstrable track-record in implementing Production Improvements as part of Continuous Improvement teams.
