St Andrew??s Essex in North Benfleet, provides recovery for patients with complex needs within a low secure environment. We are committed to furthering rehabilitation and recovery through a multi-disciplinary team approach. A recent expansion, enhancing gender specific care pathways, means that there are now 92 beds.

We would like to recruit a Service/Ward Manager who is interested in working with this complex and challenging population and has skills and experience relevant in Psychiatric Intensive Care and Acute Mental Illness.

The successful candidate will be a Level 1 Registered Nurse in Mental Health and will be expected to manage a team of nurses across two wards, manage and maintain budgets, influence occupancy on their services, provide supervision and appraisal, develop nursing roles and tasks and formulate policies and procedures setting out good practice standards. The successful candidate will also take an active part in service strategy, governance and management meetings and undertake project work for the Service and across the charity as required.

You will also be required to work as part of a wider interdisciplinary team alongside other professionals.
