Our client is a non-profit distributing company and is the leading warranty and insurance provider and standards setter for UK house-building for new and newly converted homes. It reinvests all income in achieving its primary purpose; improving quality in house-building to protect homeowners.

An excellent opportunity has now arisen for an experienced Energy Rating Manager to join our client, to be responsible for the day to day management and operation of the Energy Rating business.

You will be responsible for leading the business and setting direction in a constantly changing regulatory environment.  You will work with other Compliance Service Managers to design and develop Cross Department Quality management Systems as well as being responsible for coaching and developing team members through training and performance management.

With good commercial awareness and proven business development and project management skills, our ideal candidate will be a licensed Energy Assessor (NHER), BREEAM, EcoHomes and Code for Sustainable Homes Assessor.  You should possess a relevant technical qualification in a building/energy related discipline and ideally will be degree qualified, (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.  Membership of a relevant professional organisation is also important.

Leadership skills that support the team in delivering the highest levels of customer service and technical excellence are essential.  Advancement of good customer relations though effective senior level account management - identifying new business opportunities and developing customer retention strategies will also be required.

With the ability to manage staff, you will have excellent written, interpersonal and oral communication skills along with tact, diplomacy and an appreciation of staff and customer’s needs.  Computer literacy with experience of working with databases, Excel and Word, with a high level of numeracy are also important.

A valid driving licence is essential.

 

The starting salary will be from £39,855 to £42,199 per annum with further progression to £46,888 (Job Value). Please note salary on appointment will be dependent on experience. In addition, a company car will be provided.
