Job Purpose: To work in conjunction with Operational Management to design and deliver high quality training and development solutions to increase the capability of the operations teams to maximise performance.
• Work in conjunction with Operations managers to diagnose technical and behavioural performance and development needs and recommend appropriate development solutions to address skill and knowledge gaps to maximise the performance of Operations staff.
• Lead in the planning, co-ordination and delivery of training plans to Operations and wider L&D programmes and initiatives as agreed with Learning and Development Manager.
• To build knowledge and understanding of Regulatory framework that affects the business to ensure that L&D are able to act as enablers of these principles being effectively embedded in the business.
• Contribute effectively to cross functional project teams to ensure the successful delivery of L&D work stream activities to support successful project migrations.
• Design, deliver and evaluate innovative and high quality training and development interventions that support the successful delivery of the Learning & Development Strategy and HR Balanced Scorecard deliverables.
The ideal candidate will have:
• Educated to A Level standard as a minimum and having attained GCSE Maths and English at grade A-C.
• Possesses relevant learning and development qualifications (such as CITP, TAP, coaching qualifications, licensed psychometric practitioner).
• Demonstrable experience of practically applying the four Training Cycle stages to deliver training to front line operational staff.
• Strong planning and organising skills with the ability to work independently to deliver against work priorities.
• Effective influencing skills -able to work effectively in conjunction with business area colleagues to diagnose both technical and behavioural training requirements and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Knowledge of the financial services market and associated regulation of the industry is advantageous.
• Experience of designing, delivering and evaluating training solutions in a regulated Financial Services environment would be an advantage.
