We are currently recruiting for two Reward Consultants to be based at our Crawley office.
You will play a leading role in the overall delivery of the service from the Reward Centre of Excellence to the business and the individual business units, providing high quality technical reward and benefits recommendations and proposals on projects, individual and team requests that sit outside standard policies and on the development of company policies and process.
You will possess a strong level of reward experience and technical knowledge with the capability to deploy that knowledge in a set of practical outputs that meet the expectations of a demanding and challenging audience.
Principle Accountablities:
Analyse complex reward information data sets (including internal SAP and other reports and external benchmark and market surveys) to present pragmatic and creative recommendations and solutions for required business and central reward initiatives and projects to influence business managers and HR Business Partners in decision-makingDevelop and present accurate and high quality reports (for Reward Operations, Executive and Business Unit Reward Managers and, where required, direct to the business) assimilating complex data to be tailored for the required audience to provide a comprehensive basis for decision-making on risks, costs and policy options of proposals and recommendationsProvide expert research, commentary and analysis to support the design of innovative polices, processes and approaches to reward for EDF Energy balancing best practice and governance with commercial and business driversAnalyse proposals for individual and team reward made outside of the standard reward governance framework to provide recommendations and solutions for these that balance budgetary and governance requirements with commercial and business driversSize and evaluate job profiles for senior management positions to ensure that these are appropriately balanced and consistent across EDF Energy to meet legislative and best practice frameworksProvide technical leadership to major business unit and divisional reward projects and process development (e.g. market data development, variable pay projects) to ensure that reward and benefits threats, opportunities and issues are understood fully and included in the delivery of the outcomeLead on specific items within the Reward calendar and plan, e.g, annual pay review, as required to ensure that these are effectively delivered across EDF EnergyAct as a subject matter expert on one or more reward and benefit specialist topics to provide input and support decision-making across EDF Energy on questions and issues arising, recognise and aide the mitigation of risks and promote policy, governance and process development
Experience, Skills and Qualifications:
Depth of reward and governance experience ideally gained within a publicly listed organisation;some roles will require knowledge and experience of executive rolesExtensive experience of job evaluation methodologies, pay benchmarking processes and use of survey data, experience of executive level roles required for some rolesExperience of design, commissioning and management of employment benefits and their operationExperience of Incentive design and implementationExcellent written communication skills and ability to present complex information clearly and comprehensively for interpretation by others and maintain accuracyExcellent analytical skills to draw out key issues and themes from complex dataProject management experienceExperience of working within boundaries imposed by Group and Company policies, practice and governance requirementsUnderstanding of commercial and business driversKnowledge and understanding of the business unit operational requirementsCIPD or equivalent professional reward qualification desirable
