Qualified Social Worker - CWD
Pay rate is 32p/h Ltd/ Umbrella Company
3 month full time contract initially - To manage a case load, some of a complex nature, working with children with disabilities. The role will involve liaising with multi-agencies. This is a full time position and the successful locum will need fieldwork experience in statutory children's services. The post holder will need to be able to do full time hours and to be a car driver.
The role: To provide a professional social work service to service users. The post holder, with supervision, will manage a caseload undertaking the task of initial and core assessments, undertaking Sec.47 Investigations, child protection care proceedings and care planning. Work will be required to be time - limited; tasks focussed and have clear set objectives and outcomes. The post holder will need to be able to work very closely with colleagues from within the Department and with other agencies as required in the Working Together guidelines. The post holder will need to demonstrate that they have a commitment to the Bedfordshire Improvement Plan in protecting vulnerable children. Candidates must have Children with disability experience & must be able to manage a complex caseload. Candidates must be a qualified social worker with at least several years post qualified experience within children and families, CWD experience and must be a car driver.

You must be a Qualified Social Worker
You must have HCPC Registration
You must have experience working with children with disabilities
You must be able to manage a complex caseload
You must be able to work alongside multi-agencies
You must be capable, proactive and quick to pick up your own cases
You must be able to work deadlines and be able to work in a pressurised, fast paced environment
You must also have excellent communication skills
You must be willing to undergo or have undergone an enhanced DBS check
You must be a car driver
