Qualified Social Worker -Adoption & Permanency
Pay rate is 32p/h Ltd/ Umbrella Company
3 month full time contract initially - We require an experienced qualified social worker with experience in adoption & permanency to undertake statutory interventions in a specific service area under close supervision and support, that enable children & young people to live in family & community environments that maximise their life chances.
The role: To assess the needs of children & young people and families, carers, groups & communities using standard assessment tools and within prescribed timescales so that plans made are timely and evidence-based.
With support of more senior staff to plan, the post holder will implement, review & evaluate (with input from other partners) social work interventions to ensure positive outcomes for children & young people, demonstrating an understanding of issues of diversity and difference and their impact on service users.
The post holder will recruit, prepare and assess prospective adopters and will identify and match children with suitable adoptive families. The post holder will provide post adoption support to adopted children and their families and will provide support for adopted adults looking to access their birth records or trace birth family members.
Candidates must have experience of adoption and permanency and must have excellent assessment skills. Must be HCPC registered and a car driver.

You must be a Qualified Social Worker
You must have HCPC Registration
You must have experience in adoption and permanency.
You must have excellent assessment skills
You must be able to manage a complex caseload
You must be able to work alongside multi-agencies
You must be capable, proactive and quick to pick up your own cases
You must be able to work deadlines and be able to work in a pressurised, fast paced environment
You must also have excellent communication skills
You must be willing to undergo or have undergone an enhanced DBS check
You must be a car driver
