Thales is looking for a Project Quality Engineer to support a major project ensuring the successful delivery and installation of airfield systems across a large number of UK MoD airfields. The Project Quality Engineer co-ordinate, manage and report on Quality within the Project Controls Management Office (PCMO) and site installations. The Project Quality Engineer will manage and analyse reports to continually improve quality within the project and ensure the customer and Project Management Office (PMO) are provided regular reports and guidance on project quality installation performance to ensure project timescales are delivered on time.
The Project Quality Engineer will maintain and establish effective quality management reports of quality and metrics of performance within installations sites. This will include quality of output and measures of non-conformance, improving right first time levels and ensuring effective corrective and preventive actions are implemented to ensure problems do not re-occur. The Project Quality Engineer will also identify and promote good practice that may be shared and implemented throughout the project.
The project is a major Air Traffic Management (ATM) delivery project to the UK MOD. Thales, in conjunction with its Partner, will deliver a capability upgrade that will allow the customer to provide the MOD with Air Traffic Management Services for a period of 22 years

Overall scope of Responsibility
Project Manage Quality within the PMO also Continuous Improvement and Customer Satisfaction requirements. Also maintain and provide support to overall LAS Quality Organisation and UK Quality through effective resource management.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
Manage and measure the Marshalls project instillation Quality requirements reporting on corrective and preventive actions and mitigate risk to the project. Identify best practice that may be shared across PMO Also maintain and provide effective support to overall Marshall PMO and LAS Quality.
Technical and Professional Skills
Track record on managing Quality and problem solving in a major project environment
Experience implementing analysing and leading development of improved processes, methods and tools - improved quality and productivity.
Experience in quality management on a major project.
Experience in co-ordinating Quality within a major project team and reporting effectively
Experience of team working/building and communication skills
Personality and Behaviours
Must be team player capable of communicating clearly across all functions and levels.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to communicate and drive continuous improvement actions.
