Major Broadcaster with links to the Betting/Sports industry are looking for a Project Manager/Business Analyst for their offices in Milton Keynes

The post holder will work as a Project Manager and Business Analyst within the company Program Management Office whose prime purpose is to define and maintain a framework of standards and metrics for project management across the business.

  • Supply a balance of hands-on and consultative project support as required
  • Develop an ethos of self service project management within the organisation
  • Offer a source of documentation, guidance and best practice for projects across the business
  • Provide portfolio management of projects across the business
  • A centralised hub for reporting an monitoring project health through standardised KPIs
  • Foster a culture of continual improvement through reviewing and applying learnings to all aspects of project work
  • Ensure the efficient and effective deployment of resources on projects
  • Manage and maintain a pipeline of projects that contribute to the strategic and operational goals of the business

Job Purpose

  • To provide full life cycle project management on specific projects
  • To capture, document and analyse the needs of change initiatives
  • To support and promote the goals of the company PMO

Reporting Lines and Key Relationships

The role reports to the Change Manager.

Key Responsibilities

The main responsibilities of the Project Manager/Business Analyst are set out below.

Accountability

  • Timely delivery of multiple projects from conception to delivery and implementation, including governance and reporting
  • Provide overall project assurance and ensure project delivery meets cost and quality expectations
  • Appropriately plan and manage project resources - both internal and external
  • Deliver projects using either agile or waterfall methodologies - ability to flex project management approach to fit specific project needs
  • Ensure appropriate planning, communications, expectation setting, scope, issue and risk management throughout project delivery
  • Work with clients and internal teams to ensure business requirements are accurately and effectively defined
  • Analyse and evaluate business processes and activities and offer appropriate changes and improvements
  • Proactively identify future business and technology improvements

Knowledge/Experience and Pre-requisites

  • Prince 2 or PMP qualifications are desirable and experience of managing the project management process from Cradle to completion is essential.
  • Significant experience of programme and/or project management across multiple work streams.
  • Strong stakeholder and supplier management experience is essential
  • Experience of working within a commercial business environment.
