What you’ll need
• Experience in quarrying.
• Excavator and loading shovel licences are essential.
• Technical acknowledge/experience on mobile machines and mobile plants.
About the role
As a Quarry Operative you will assist the Foreman with the safe operation and production at Brotherton Quarry. Your other responsibilities will include:
• Operating the Quarry in accordance with the Health and Safety document.
• Reporting accidents to the manager and investigating the circumstances.
• Reporting any defects on mobile plant.
• Completing Daily inspection books.
• Working in accordance with Environmental Management System and promoting environmentally considerate work practices.
• Ensuring that the quarry's production levels are maintained safely to schedule.
• Maintaining the inspection systems and checklists in accordance with the IMS system.
• Closely monitoring all areas of the quarry to ensure that extraction and processing work is carried out to the highest standard.
• Examining the materials produced to ensure that a high quality of product is maintained.
About you
You will need commitment and determination to meet personal objectives and be able to work collaboratively at all levels. The ability to re-evaluate priorities is important and responding quickly and positively to change is imperative.
