Financial Analyst Business Manager Markets Business Analytics- Accounting/Product Control

We have a new and exclusive opportunity for a VP level Financial Analyst Business Manager to join the Markets Business of this investment bank in Canary Wharf. You will be designing an MI solution to assess the cost and headcount reporting across the global market division of the bank, and is thus an extremely important, high level hire for the bank/

We need someone who has excellnt financial analysis/cost & headcount reporting skills, and this could be either from an accounting or product control background

This role is for a Financial Analyst Business Manager to join the bank during an extremely interesting time of change. It is a permanent role, based in Canary Wharf, salary is at VP level.

The core elements of the role relate to a responsibility for all cost and headcount reporting and analysis for Global Markets across all businesses and geographies, understanding and articulating the wider performance of the EMEA region, and ensuring the financial integrity of the Global Market Management segment. Strong analytical skills are required, together with the ability to seek out questions and issues, and then clearly articulate answers to senior management.

You will need to be confident in understanding and explaining movement drivers of the global cost base; engaging with Regional teams, Business CFOs and Business Managers to provide accurate and timely MI and analysis.

As the Financial Analyst Business Manager, you will perform a critical role in creating and delivering effective MI to help the business manage costs, and headcounts. The overall aim is to assist the business in driving these cost reductions, by providing relevant analysis, monitoring and control capabilities.

Requirements

• Knowledge of the Markets business and its products
• Experience in senior stakeholder management
• Accounting qualification or part qualified
• Experience across either Product Control or Business Analysis roles desirable although not necessary
