An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Event Sales Manager with a Leading Entertainment Venue.

This US company has recently expanded into the UK and is looking to expand its reach globally over the coming years. Presenting customers with a unique venue offering, this is a truly exciting time to join and help grow our client's business.

Reporting into the Vice President, the successful candidate will oversee the entire group sales function for the London venue, and will be responsible for managing an Events Coordinator. This position is ideal for a self-starter, someone with real get-up and go, who is excited by a fast-paced, creative environment and has excellent communication skills at all organisational levels.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Generate new business and grow existing accounts to meet/exceed revenue goals through telephone solicitation, outside sales calls, site inspections and written communication.
  • Participate in sales meetings, training and other sales-related meetings as required.
  • Work with other departments within the venue to provide quality service to customers.
  • Attend trade shows, community events and industry meetings.
  • Develop/maintain knowledge of market trends, competition and customers.
  • Measure and achieve objectives for profitable revenue in line with forecasted budget for VIP rooms, food and beverage, conference and events.
  • Ensure dedicated account development is on track and sales team productivity is maximized.
  • Have an excellent knowledge of all facilities offered within the property and at Company level.
  • Deliver a wide ranging "solution portfolio" whilst building up partnerships, earning trust, managing pipeline, prospect networking and enhancing brand awareness, negotiating contracts terms and conditions.
  • Handle corporate events/meetings/exhibitions/seminars and incentive groups inquiries.
  • Assisting with streamlining the standard operating procedures

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Organized and driven individual
  • Lead by example and be hands on with the ability to see the big picture
  • Highly personable and will have to be "wired in" to all industry news/events in London
  • A measured thinker and have first-rate analytical skills
  • Experience in group sales and have a network of trusted clients/contacts to facilitate an immediate impact on sales metrics
  • Passion for the hospitality industry, food and live music.
