About the Role
A unique opportunity to join a small business during a period of rapid growth. The business delivers a variety of analytical spreadsheet and database solutions to meet the unique needs of their clients. You can help shape the future and vision of the business by becoming a part of this dynamic business. The role involves converting clients’ needs into well presented, robust and professional solutions in Excel, Access and SQL Server automated with VBA as required. Solutions are supported by training materials, over the phone and face-to-face contact. The role is based in the East Riding of Yorkshire at the foot of the Yorkshire Wolds in easy reach of Hull, York and Leeds. There is opportunity to travel for those with client facing skills and real development opportunity as the business expands.
About the Candidate
In the next phase of growth we need to bolster our capability with SQL Server, so this experience is important. The successful candidate will demonstrate ingenuity and analytical flare. A passion for converting data to information along with a positive and professional attitude will be deemed more important than a formal “IT” background.
The successful candidate will:
•Have a working knowledge and experience of SQL Server and possibly Azure
•Have a strong working knowledge and experience of Excel and Access
•Can build spreadsheets and databases from the ground up using VBA where necessary
•Professional, articulate and able to explain technical concepts in simple language
•Able to take a client brief to build a solution that will exceed client expectation
•A good attention to detail and eye for design
•Web integration skills would be desirable
•Can demonstrate a track record of developing well engineered solutions
•Eligible to work in the UK & Full driving licence
