Are you an experienced Residential Care Worker for young people and children looking to move to a company with real career opportunities or a newly qualified Support worker who wants to join a company who will support them in their chosen field.
Our client is a leading residential company who support young people whose complex behaviour requires the unique and specialist support of an integrated therapy setting. The organisation is a leading specialist residential resource providing all round support specifically aimed at young people displaying interpersonal abusive behaviours.
Due to growth plans new opportunities have arisen for a number of qualified NVQ CCPY3/ QCF 3 or equivalent care/support workers to join this innovative organisation on a full time or part time basis in the Corwen and Ruthin,- North Wales regions. You will be rewarded with an excellent salary (+ £2,300 sleep in allowance), free company training including further company benefits once passing your probationary period.
Main Purpose of Job:
To operate within the company's policies and procedures to provide a positive living experience for all young people and provide appropriate care and support as identified in the young person's Care Plan / Personal Development Plan.
Main responsibilities of job include but are not exhaustive:
To follow the personal development plan of each young person.
To take part in and encourage young people in outdoor or family activities
To assist with the day-to-day running of the home and ensure a high standard of hygiene, safety and homeliness.
To assist young people to maintain constructive contact with their families, friends and other significant people, as identified in the young person’s Personal Development Plan.
To support, advise and monitor young people's health and well-being
To assist young people to develop appropriate behaviour through the use of encouragement, praise, rewards and role modelling.
To act as a Key Worker for a young person. This is to include responsibilities such as arranging individual time with a young person to enable them seek guidance, advice and support on any matter.
