HR Administrator
£19,000 to £21,500 + Benefits
Chipping Sodbury, South Gloucestershire
We currently have an opportunity for an experienced HR Administrator to join the HR Department at our Head Office in Chipping Sodbury.
About The Role
Our HR administrators are the key interface between the business, employees and HR governance. They are instrumental in supporting the Jelf Group people policies, maintaining HR systems and coordinating people related management information.
Your main responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Performing HR administrative tasks such as contractual changes; flexible working requests; maternity/paternity/adoption leave; absence processes; referencing; HR systems queries
- Providing first line advice and guidance on Jelf people policies, procedures and practices, with appropriate escalation to HR Manager or Business Partner as required
- Managing the "New Starter" process, working closely with the Careers Team to ensure that appropriate offer letters are issued and correct employment checks are carried out prior to employment contracts being issued
- Co-ordinating and facilitating the Jelf Group Induction Day; including co-ordinating invitation lists and ensuring key speakers are engaged
- Providing administrative support to Jelf's reward and recognition scheme
- Assisting with project support on an ongoing basis as and when required
About You
The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following skills and experience during the interview process:
- Experience of working within an HR function
- Capability to prioritise time and tasks while meeting agreed deadlines
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Able to deal with sensitive and confidential information in a discreet manner
- Strong analytical and computer skills
The Package
We are offering a competitive salary of £19,000 to £21,500 (based on experience). As part of the package we have additional benefits including Income Protection (55% of salary), Death In Service and Pension. Holiday entitlement is 23 days rising an extra day each year up to 28 days plus bank holidays.
