Our Client is a vibrant and growing alcohol and drugs charity with 37 years’ experience, including 25 years in Lancashire working with individuals, families and communities affected by addiction. They promote change and transform lives. They are evolving in an exciting way ourselves, raising their profile as a dynamic values led charity employing more than 300 people who are supported by over 200 volunteers many of whom are former service users.
They now have an exciting opportunity for a Detox nurse to join them on their One Recovery project based in Bury where you will provide a professional nursing detoxification service for clients who are dependent upon substance misuse.
Within the role of Detox Nurse, you will be responsible for providing a detoxification for clients as well as a high quality of client care which is assessed on a regular basis. Ensuring individual care packages are established, developed and reviewed, you will improve relevant information and materials to support clients, family members and carers whilst providing BBV interventions. Within the role you will also adhere to protocols related to the following; medication and medically managed aspects of treatment around psychosocial interventions; health, welfare, hygiene, security and safety; risk assessment; infection prevention; and managing emerging emergency situations.
As the successful candidate, you will be qualified and experienced in detoxification and be looking to use and build on your experience and skills within the overall treatment system. As a qualified Nurse, you will have experience of assessing individual’s needs whilst developing and providing specific packages of care. With demonstrable knowledge of clinical prescribing issues you will have experience in managing a caseload of service users with complex needs as well as maintaining confidential records.
