Our Client are a vibrant and growing alcohol and drugs charity with over 40 years' experience working with individuals, families and communities affected by addiction. They promote change and transform lives. They are evolving in an exciting way, raising their profile as a dynamic value led charity.
They currently have a vacancy for a Substance Misuse Practitioner at their Bury One Recovery project based in Bury where you will support the identification and engagement of potential users whilst carrying out comprehensive assessments to include risk and health issues.
Working from their One Recovery Bury Project, you will provide and / or facilitate access to services which are responsive to the needs of substance misusers and their families, as well as providing psychosocial interventions for clients. Promoting the involvement of clients and their significant others in the design, development and delivery of service, you will provide advice, support and consultancy to partner agencies working with people affected by substance misuse, facilitating joint working with clients where appropriate. You will of course maintain accurate, comprehensive and up-to-date client records to a high standard.
With relevant experience in working as part of a multi-disciplinary team and as an integral member of the service in the identification, engagement and case management of individuals affected by substance misuse, you will also have the ability to develop, implement, co-ordinate and evaluate packages of care and support with service users and others involved in order to empower them to realise and achieve their full potential.
As the ideal candidate, you will have a relevant professional qualification i.e. Diploma in social work or addiction studies OR demonstrable experience and competence of working in the substance misuse field.
