Carer
Our clients have opportunities for Carers to work in their Residential School which provides care and education for young people with complex needs and vulnerabilities. They also provide a residential care service for young people in three community houses based in Kirkcaldy and Dunfermline.
They are looking for Part-time carers with increased flexibility to work at the weekends. These vacancies are for their main residential provision in Burntisland in addition to the community services.
Working within their multi-disciplinary team is extremely rewarding and will provide you with an array of opportunities for continuous professional development. They have a robust training program in place that will develop your knowledge, skills and expertise. The existing team are committed to ensuring that our young people receive the highest standards of care and education, and receive all the input they require in order to make positive progress. They are eager to increase their dedicated team and would welcome applications from individuals with the following skills and knowledge.

About you
- SVQ 3 or relevant HNC is desirable. Experience of working with children and young people is also very important.
- Child centred approach to practice which is underpinned by a good knowledge of child development and specific conditions or difficulties.
- Effective communication and ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team are essential.
- Resilience, effective problem solving skills and flexibility are key characteristics required from candidates.
