Infrastructure Architect

Looking for an infrastructure architect to work at a world leading law firm.

They will be responsible for input to High Level Designs (HLDs) created by the Architecture functions. Working with the Service Owners, they will ensure HLDs can be translated into Low Level Designs (LLDs) and are implementable within the infrastructure operations and engineering functions.

They will be expected to contribute and offer subject matter expertise for the creation of LLDs and where required be expected to contribute to them.

The Operations Architect will have strong influencing skills and will liaise with all Global IT teams including IT Operations, Architecture, Applications and Global Project teams. They will also assist in the creation of future roadmaps for Infrastructure and Platform teams that lack a dedicated architect function.

Candidates must have:

• Candidates will need to have proven skills in a broad selection of infrastructure disciplines. As well as ideally a working knowledge of Enterprise Architecture and frameworks (eg TOGAF).
• Demonstrable experience working with a broad range of infrastructure technologies.
• Strong problem solving skills showing ability to work from basic principles.
• Good team skills showing ability to work on their own initiative and take appropriate courses of action/decision making.
• Proven ability to keep up to date with technical developments and to adapt expertise accordingly.
• Understanding of the provision and implementation of Cloud Services and an ability to contribute to meaningful discussions about them
• Guidance for operations staff to ensure they are using cost effective designs and deliver quality outputs related to network and security infrastructure
