We are looking for a Test Analyst to join our Logistics Network Enabled Capability (LogNEC) team challenged with modernising and transforming the Defence logistics service. The successful candidate will work within the programme to support the testing of the information systems for functions including Inventory Management; Supply Chain Management; Engineering and Asset Management; Asset Tracking & Visibility; Technical Publications; Support Equipment. Following defined Boeing processes and liaising with the military customer and technical experts, the candidate will be expected to assist with the development of test scenarios, test cases, test plans and test scripts and also, the execution of tests in support of the verification and validation of the solution.

Key Skills and Responsibilities:

•Responsibilities include working collaboratively within an integrated customer and supplier team to jointly deliver integrated industry standard processes ensuring that impacts to the business process is beneficial, common and increases the efficiency and effectiveness of the supply chain.
•Testing: Reviews requirements and specifications, and defines test conditions. Designs test cases and test scripts under own direction, mapping back to pre-determined criteria, recording and reporting outcomes. Analyses and reports test activities and results. Identifies and reports issues and risks associated with own work.
•Business process testing: Specifies and develops test scenarios to test that new/ updated processes deliver improved ways of working for the end user at the same time as delivering efficiencies and planned business benefits. Records and analyses test results, and reports any unexpected or unsatisfactory outcomes. Uses test plans and outcomes to specify user instructions.
•Business analysis: Investigates operational needs and problems, and opportunities, contributing to the recommendation of improvements in automated and non-automated components of new or changed processes and organisation. Assists in defining acceptance tests for these recommendations.
•Requirements definition and management: Uses established techniques as directed to identify current problems and elicit, specify and document business functional, data and non-functional requirements for simple subject areas with clearly-defined boundaries. Assists in more complex requirements activities and with the processes for establishing agreed baselines for change and managing the assessment and application of requested changes to those requirements.

Qualifications and Experience:

•Qualified to degree level or equivalent in a business discipline or closely related field
•Experience of testing (test case development, test planning etc.)
•Effective written and verbal communication skills
•Knowledge of Supply Chain Management (specifically Inventory and Warehouse Management), finance and engineering domains
•Testing from the BCS (e.g. ISTQB-BCS Certified Tester Foundation Level) or other equivalent institute
•Experience of the following tools: HP Quality Centre, HP LoadRunner, HP Sprinter, HP QuickTest Professional, IBM Rational DOORS
•Knowledge of general IT management (such as application selection/development, IT infrastructure, project and supplier management)
