Role and Responsibilities:

Requires little direction and is a provider of coaching, guidance and authorisation
Demonstrate a strong strategic vision for the brand(s) within the portfolio for which they are responsible
Be able to influence decisions and strategy at wider European level to help shape future strategy
Has ultimate accountability for forecasting budgets, operational plans and strategy
Is a champion of business development opportunities, is able to secure sign-off and provide strong business cases for additional resource
Has the ability to Identify and exploit opportunities to shape the external environment to benefit Celgene
Is able to lead cross functional teams that deliver on the objectives of the team within budget and timelines
Has the ability to build trusted and lasting relationships with thought leaders in the therapy area
Is capable of representing the challenges and opportunities of the brand(s) at Celgene Leadership Team meetings
Analyze and assimilate extensive market data/intelligence and incorporate the findings into the planning process
Keep up to date with all new information/data for the brand and its competitors and utilize the information to provide a competitive advantage for our brand
Drive the development and execution of an innovative and successful brand plan; working with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and leveraging relationships with opinion leaders in the market
Lead the development of marketing materials and ensure timely approval of materials in accordance with regulatory requirements (ABPI code of practice)
Ensure effective role out of marketing campaigns to the field team through cycle briefing meetings
Close management of marketing budgets to ensure expenditure is aligned with the brand plan
Brand leadership - a Senior Product Manager must be seen as the' brand advocate
Demonstrate belief and passion for the brand
Convey ideas and plans clearly to ensure broad understanding
Generate support for ideas and plans through persuasion and consensus
Work with all relevant internal stakeholders to canvass opinion and request input to support the planning process
Clear communication to all levels of the organisation - create clarity for the brand and its positioning in the market
Utilise innovative thinking to overcome barriers and hurdles faced in the field
Lead the delivery of the operational plan and secure support from colleagues to help achieve your goals
Track success and develop rapid corrective activities if needed
Develop and manage relationships with EU colleagues, with a network of KOLs, with the key professional and patient advocacy organization
Lead the FMT (field management team) together with the RBMs and Head of medical affairs to invite broad input in the development and delivery of promotional, educational, commissioning and sales campaign materials plus gain feedback from the field about existing campaigns
Support the development of financial forecasts for relevant Brands

Qualifications
Skills and Knowledge Requirements:

University level qualification required
Successful track record within the pharmaceutical industry to include pharmaceutical sales experience
High scientific profile with the ability to take on board new and complex clinical information
Immunology market experience
Marketing research and new product development experience highly desirable
Must be PC literate in Microsoft Office
Strong belief in MMS concept and working in accordance with this philosophy
Team working and capability to work for objectives
Excellent written and oral communication skills required
Strong analytical skills

The Senior Product Manager should aim to spend approx. 25% of his/her time in the field, working with the RBMs (FMT) and the Key Account Managers (KAMs), representing the marketing function in the field.
