We are recruiting for a Deputy Nursery Manager for a Fantastic new setting in Putney, South West London. The nursery is within easy commute from Wimbledon, Bushy Park, Hampton, Kingston, Barnes, Richmond and Clapham.
The role is an amazing opportunity to be involved with the initial set up of the provision, which is a education focussed nursery and pre-school and is due to open at the end of January 2015. Candidates will be given the opportunity to work for 4-8 weeks prior to the nursery opening on an induction and training programme.
The role will involve supporting the manager with the nursery right from initial opening involving: staff management updating policies and procedures, dealing with Ofsted and Outside agencies and ensuring the smooth everyday running of the nursery.
The company are seeking experienced Deputy Nursery Managers whom have the ability to work in a challenging, fast moving environment. As the role will involve managing a whole new staff team and many parents and children starting in the nursery at the same time. candidates ideally will be Deputy Nursery Managers with proven experience of working in 'good' or 'outstanding' settings, or Third in charge with significant experience working in large nurseries with the highest levels of childcare and occupancy levels. Even managers of small setting wanting to work in a different challenging environment would be suited to the role.
You must:
- hold a relevant childcare qualification (level 3 as minimum but ideally level 4)
- Have proven senior level experience in a setting with a 'good' or 'outstanding' Ofsted
- Experience of working with large staff teams
- excellent staff management skills
- Be passionate about providing the highest quality of childcare possible
- The ability to work on own initiative
