The position is reporting to the Head of Function for Technical Platform and Tooling, with direct responsibility for the team performing implementation of tooling, to support the Managed Services portfolio.

This role encompasses financial as well as cross functional responsibilities, defining and managing Tooling Implementation methods and processes, whilst ensuring these are communicated across all relevant communities and aligned to the company's strategic objectives.
Roles & Responsibilities

Manage the Tooling Implementation portfolio for Managed Services (40%)

*Manage and operate the Managed Services process relating to the implementation of tooling, to support new and of existing services for both new and existing customers, forming part of the virtual team led and governed within the company's high level transition/transformation processes.
*Represent Managed Services at Governance Level ensuring that commercial, financial, project and service governance is enforced and associated actions are owned and managed accordingly within the Managed Services remit.
*Along with peers from the Managed Services management team, support the winning of business by attending ISP review & acceptance stages of the company's high level 'sale to service' process.
*Authority on Project/Programme escalation within the Managed Services teams to ensure alignment to the company's overall Project/Programme management methodology.
*Sponsor and own interaction with Project/Programme Management teams within the business to ensure alignment of processes, tool usage and outcome leading to successful Acceptance into Service and handover to BAU.
*Produce Operational Management reporting.

Management of Managed Services TI team (30%)

*Act as a mentor and role model to the Managed Services teams (including assigned Project Managers, as members of the 'virtual' team)
*Direct, day to day man-management of the Managed Services TI team.
*Definition of local strategy aligned to company objectives, vision and mission.
*Ensure that members of the Managed Services TI team are developed and appraised through the Performance Management System.
*Direct interaction with other company managers with key focus on the Managed Services management team.

Relationship Managment/Ownership (15%)

*Be a key player in the building and maintenance of relationships with those internal and external to Managed Services.
*Define, own and manage the process by which Managed Services interacts with external parties from a TI and Transition & Transformation perspective.
*Work with other key areas of the business to ensure that TI projects are designed and delivered with the customer and successful service delivery in mind.

Financial/Tooling Objectives (15%)

*Work in conjunction with the Managed Services commercial team along with Service Design/Sales/Projects/Finance to periodically review and continually improve cost models relating to Tooling Implementation to support Managed Services.
*Support Technical Platform & Tooling Manager in managing the Tools Implementation P&L.
*Work with Projects & Governance to ensure that TI/Transition & Transformation projects are delivered where feasible on time and budget.
*Work with key areas of Computacenter to develop repeatable processes/solutions to reduce TI/T&T costs without impacting on risk or quality of delivery.

Critical Success Factors:

*Manage team delivering new tooling into Managed Services efficiently, to time, to budget and to process.
*Manage team delivering tooling to support in-life service transformation to the Operational and Service Management communities.
*Effective relationships with key stakeholders both internal and external.
*Definition and communication of the engagement model for Tooling Implementation across key stakeholder communities in the business to ensure efficient initiation of work and that we 'plan for success' in a repeatable manner.
*Promote the offerings of Tooling/Managed Services within the wider business capability portfolio.

Desired Skills and Experience

Essential Skills:
*Strong leadership and people management skills - interpersonal, approachable, motivational
*Strong influencing, negotiation and relationship building skills
*Minimum of 4 years experience as a manager of projects within an outsourced or operational services dept.
*Ability to recognise, interpret dynamics of and facilitate liason between delivery and service management organisations.
*Ability to work to deadlines and manage/direct those working to defined deadlines
*Strong communication skills both internally and externally and ability to communicate at all levels
*Sound financial management skills and proven experience of successful efficiency management
*Excellent facilitator, able to run definition workshops and present compellingly at all levels
*Experience of running/managing multiple large, complex projects concurrently
*Ability to engage at tooling, service, programme and project governance levels representing key stakeholders
*PRINCE2 Practitioner Certified with proven project management experience
*Ability and proven experience of managing and tracking multiple complex, multi-phase projects in tandem including inter-dependencies

Desirable:
*ITIL Service Management Certified (Red Badge or equivalent) with proven service management experience
*Programme Management Accredited (MSP/PMP)
*Experience of BMC Toolsuite
*Experience of tooling implementations in a managed service environment
*Experience of service integration/transition/implementation
*Experience of technical build/development projects/implementations
