Calibration Engineer

My Automotive client is offering fantastic contract opportunities to a multi-skilled Project Engineer for their fast-paced Powertrain division.

The successful candidate will support base calibration development activity, providing technical expertise to support test-bed and vehicle calibration development. Calibration tasks will focus on air-charge model development, fuel-path calibration, and knock control to deliver fuel economy and emissions targets. Successful candidates must also be able to demonstrate the ability to deliver a complex gasoline calibration program to production

Skills/Experience Required:

*Knowledge of complex gasoline engine control systems

*Able to demonstrate technical delivery experience, specifically in a calibration environment with state of the art engine hardware

*Expertise with calibration and data analysis tools (eg INCA, Matlab, Concerto etc)

*In depth knowledge of EMS Control System strategies

*Good analytical skills & good working knowledge of MS Office software

*Knowledge/Understanding of supporting Powetrain systems would be beneficial, although not essential.
Preferably, applicants will be highly driven, self-motivated and able to deliver with minimum supervision.

Ideal candidates will also have the ability to mentor/influence and lead team members.
