I am recruiting on behalf of my client, a FTSE 100 Engineering Organization involved in some of the world's most cutting edge projects across the U.K and internationally. This particular role functions within the Submarine Support Management group (SSMG) and will involve working with key partners throughout the UK.

Main Purpose of Role

• Provide advice on best practice Project Management tools, techniques and processes. Liaising with the wider Babcock Project Management community.
• Prepare, maintain and provide Project, Resource and Financial Management data to enable informed decision making by the business.
• The production, reporting and monitoring and control of Key Performance Indicators.
• Production of bid packs for tender responses.
• Day to day tasking of Graduate Engineers on their placement.
• Represent the Project Support Manager & Senior Project Engineer at meetings to provide progress reports, updates and advice.
• Monitor and control project information held within the chosen Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Tool.
• Progress and manage the implementation of continuous improvement.
• Liaise with Joint Team management on a regular basis to provide key management data/information.

Applicants will have:

• HNC qualified in a relevant discipline with some relevant experience, or OND/ONC qualified with significant relevant experience
• Good working knowledge of Project Management & IT tools (especially MS Excel, Word & Project). Able to adapt to understand and use other Information Management IT tools.
• Knowledge of Project and Business Management techniques.
• Be capable of working professionally and objectively, interacting across multiple stakeholders, providing a project management focus.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
