Banqueting Head Waiter / Waitress

A Banqueting Head Waiter / Waitress is required for a prestigious city centre function venue on Princes Street.

This is a 'hands on' supervisory position organising the day to day running of a busy Conference and Banqueting department, catering for private events ranging from 6 to 200 people.

As a senior member of staff this role involves managing the set up and running of private function events. This involves liaising with event organisers on arrival and supervising the banqueting and agency staff working on any private event.

Working a basic 39 hour week on a variable shift pattern, there is also the opportunity for overtime. This position offers a competitive salary dependant on experience. Potential applicants should note that previous experience in a similar supervisory position is essential.

Responsibilities Include:

- Running private functions and bars in a busy food and beverage operation.
- Managing a team of banqueting and agency staff, and taking responsibility for training staff.
- Ensuring that customer experience is of the highest standard at all time.

- Have held a similar previous supervisory position in a busy hotel/function venue.
- Be able to communicate well at all levels, and be confident in dealing with customers and staff.
- Possess a sound knowledge of food and beverage service and procedures.
