About the Company

Producers report to the Lead Producer in the digital product team of Trinity Mirror, which is responsible for the Mirror, Record and more than 30 regional digital products. They are a key role contributing to the overall development of our products by working closely with all aspects of the digital business, primarily product, editorial, engineering, commercial partnerships, sales and marketing.

All our titles share a common content management system and platform, which is developed with features to be used by all titles and teams. Producers support this operation by configuring our different sites to take advantage of these features to deliver the requirements of different product managers, editorial and commercial teams around the business.

Producers also support iterative product development by configuring different product changes and proofs of concept, which are then measured and analysed by the product managers and business analysts. Often they will work with developers and others in the Engineering team on projects which improve our products and systems by making them work better for customers, including advertisers, consumers and staff. As such, the role is an ideal introduction to digital publishing product development, and a number of our former producers have been promoted to Business Analysts in the product team and are now driving forward key development priorities.

Producers’ success is measured by high internal reputation for being able to deliver work on time and on budget a thorough understanding of the systems’ capability and internal processes, and sometimes by informing those making requests for work about different approaches to solving a problem by the successful delivery of both larger projects and smaller pieces of work an understanding of the Trinity Mirror digital strategy and how they individually contribute to the success of our digital products
