The successful candidate will work as part of a small team in an Import and Export Japanese Trading Company. Responsibilities include, generating new business as well as supporting existing accounts. The role will be the first line of contact on the Telephone.

Key Responsibilities will include:-

  • Answer phone calls:-
  • receiving enquiries
  • taking  orders
  • checking order status
  • solving customer’s queries.
  • Understanding customers’ requirements
  • Liaising with sales person for quotations and spec queries.
  • Send quotation requests to different suppliers.
  • Liaise with suppliers for competitive pricing.
  • Working with exchange rates – yen, euros, gbp
  • Providing customers with quotations in a timely manner
  • Enter sales orders into system accurately
  • Provide relevant technical information to support quotes.

 

 

The International sales administrator will be proactive, organised and self-motivated with excellent communication and listening skills and great attention to detail.

The Candidate:

  • Previous office-based sales experience is essential
  • Numeracy skills (ability to calculate exchange rates and profit rates) is essential
  • Computer literate (Microsoft- Outlook, Word, Excel…)
  • Spanish or Japanese – advantageous but not essential.
  • Knowledge of Sage would be desirable but not essential.
