Metrologist / CMM Operative (Temp)

Job Elements: -

• To provide a support service to internal and external customers with regard to measurement of products, confirming that customers’ requirements have been satisfied against drawing requirements.
• Conduct verification of supplier measured parts to confirm acceptance of their measurement results, support the development and verify tooling manufacture is correct to drawing.
• Support investigation and problem solving processes with dimensional data, review and prioritise work with Quality and Engineering departments.
• Plan and carry out calibration of gauges/equipment against defined interval''''s using internal and external resources to achieve calibration requirements, update and maintain calibration database.

What the company are seeking in the successful candidate:

• Have a minimum of 3-5 years Quality engineering and Co-ordinate measuring machines experience.
• Be methodical and able to demonstrate a hands-on approach to technical aspects of Quality.
• Complete understanding of drawing requirements
• Complete understanding of calibration requirements.
• Understanding of GD&T
• Understanding of using CAD models
• CMM running on Windows 7 Platform
• Use of Excel for generating reports
