Our client believes that every adult with a learning disability has the right to lead an active and fulfilling life and takes pride in supporting individuals to enjoy greater control and independence. They are a national charity providing high-quality personalised support to over 700 adults with learning disabilities and autism. They provides support for people with learning disabilities.

And as a Support Worker your role is to support people to live independently and help them to achieve their goals. This will include supporting them to shop, cook and manage their home as well as encouraging them to engage in a range of community based activities and supporting them to maintain and develop positive relationships.

If you have real empathy for people, great listening skills and are motivated, committed and enthusiastic they want to hear from you.

They value our support staff and provide professional training and great support as well as opportunities for development. You may have experience of support work, including personal care, either in a work environment or caring for friends or relatives. If not we can support you to learn.

All our Support Workers receive a very detailed induction and training and complete shadow shifts before working with the people we support. New staff who have not previously worked in care are supported through the nationally recognised Skills for Care Common Induction Standards. Your training is specifically tailored to enable you to support the people you work with.

When attending training courses you are paid your normal hourly rate of pay.

You will work in a small team supporting the same people the majority of the time. Our shift patterns include earlies, lates and sleep-ins. Salary enhancements apply when working weekends and bank holidays.

Working hours: Part time and full time (Up to 37.5 hours per week)
Salary: Up to £13,898 pa plus enhancements
