Trading Platform Engineers/Consultants - Global Financial Markets

Technical and Customer-facing roles driving complex, Real Time software solutions for Fidessa, market leader in Global Banking Transactions.

Within Trading Platform Delivery, you'll play a key role in implementing and maintaining our multi-asset, sell-side trading platforms on a managed, Software as a Service (SaaS) basis.

Responsible for the implementation and configuration of the Trading Platform software, the role also entails:

Building new customer systems, performing software upgrades and enabling new functionality
Handling customer change and enhancement requests

Providing bespoke software solutions

We also have opportunities to combine your great client relationship skills with a strong technical appreciation, you'll provide on-site professional consultancy services to our Enterprise customer base.

This will involve a wide range of responsibilities, from the delivery of minor upgrades to the development, implementation and support of large software solutions, potentially involving a combination of tools, including:

Fidessa components
TCL
Java
C#
FIX
OpenAccess
XML

Educated to Degree level in Computer Science/Engineering or a numerate discipline and/or with significant professional experience, you must be able to develop strong working relationships, both internally and externally, and have experience of at least one programming language, underpinned by the ability to develop software solutions. Ideally with Fidessa experience, although we'll provide full training, you're a consummate all-round communicator and influencer with a strong analytical approach to problem-solving. Together with experience of Linux or UNIX, you'll also need to be sufficiently flexible to work on-site in London or European countries for periods of time and able to:

Work as part of a team
Take ownership of assigned tasks, anticipate potential problems and take prompt pre-emptive actions
Handle challenging situations and conflicting opinions.
