We have a position available in our Psychology journals team for a Journal Publishing Assistant. The team is a vibrant and successful group that maintains and develops new partnerships with some of the world’s leading psychological organisations.

The successful candidate will provide administrative support and editorial assistance to three Journal Publishing Managers (JPMs)/Editors/Publisher to help with editorial management and development of their psychology titles, and to help with commissioning new journals. The role will also independently manage 12 titles in philosophy and humanities.

Journal Publishing Assistant Selection Criteria:

> Experience of working in an office/administration

> Experience of working independently without close supervision

> The ability to communicate effectively and accurately, both verbally and in writing

> A high standard of computer literacy including Microsoft Office

> The ability to manage own workload and good organisational skills

> A high standard of verbal and written English

> Strong interpersonal skills

> Education to degree level or equivalent

> A qualification in Social Sciences and Humanities or publishing would be desirable as would experience in publishing or databases and a familiarity with journal publishing
