Located within the Derbyshire area, this care home is a purpose built 39 bedded care property offering nursing, residential, respite and end of life care.
MAIN PURPOSE
To oversee / maintain the care of clients within the care home. In the absence of the Home Manager, to take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the home, and ensure that all company policies and procedures, and all legal requirements, are adhered to within the defined timescales.
REQUIRED
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Genuine interest in working with the relevant client group
- Satisfactory police check
- Care for the elderly experience/qualification
- Nurse qualification - RGN or RMN
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure all staff members contribute to the best of their ability to the efficient running of the care home.
- Interact with clients to ensure that their health care needs are being met and resolve any problems where appropriate.
- Undertake general nursing work & personal care as appropriate.
- Administer prescribed medicines and monition necessary records as per company guidelines.
- Support and assist Home Manager in auditing care plan documentation, to ensure best practice.
- Ensure a clear and concise handover report is given to staff members.
- Arrange and participate in staff and client meetings.
- Manage, monitor and maintain budgets agreed by the Home Manager.
- Administer medication and much more.
